Introduction: Meet Bernie Meyers

BernieBernard Eugene Meyers ("Bernie"), a 12 month old Caucasian male, is brought to the clinic by his mother, Shirley Meyers. Shirley is concerned because she has noticed that her son is significantly smaller than other boys his age.

In addition, Bernie seems perfectly happy doing nothing which his mother finds strange since all the other neighborhood children have been playing outside during the last few weeks of lovely weather. Bernie has been a good baby and no trouble, but hasn't been to a pediatrician since his six month checkup.
